About

My name is Josh. I like to think about things. I also like to write (albeit, “type” might be a more appropriate verb). Sometimes, I can muster these two likes into an enthralling synergy of self-expression. Sometimes not.

Cognifeeder was a word I made up in this poem. To me, a “Cognifeeder” is any bit of learned information. A Cognifeeder is a piece of culture, something learned that contributes to one’s map of reality. The world is littered with Cognifeeders. Take them lightly.

When I’m not blogging, I run Sonata, a digital marketing and SEO agency based in Aledo, Texas.

  1. I’m digging the poetry dude. Keep it up, you have a tremendous talent.

Looking forward to your future posts!

  2. Love your writing Josh! And a big ‘Thank You’ for liking my post ‘Journeys To Make’

  3. Hi, Josh, thanks for dropping by. Like your blog. All the best with the degree.

  4. Hello Josh, i’m Adurna we haven’t had cause to cross paths, bu ti stumbled along your blog during my daily quests for lyrical loonatics and i love your work, you are simply………..

Thanks for “liking” my poem, but I don’t believe you even read it. The WordPress email notification of your “like” was received one minute after I posted the poem.

    • You’re poem was 55 words long. I saw it the second you posted it and I can read more than 55 words in a minute. I read plenty of poems on WordPress that I think suck, but I don’t ‘like’ those. Only the poems that I actually like will I ‘like’. So I read it and enjoyed it, all within a minute. I’m quick like that.

  6. Appreciate your visit today. Old writer, slow reader, new at blogging, Starting to read your site. There is probably an acronym to let you know I’m smiling with you; don’t know what it is.

    • Me neither. I try to stay away from abbreviations, but hey, we could always make one up. From now on, ISWY shale become the quick signifier for “I’m smiling with you!”

  7. Hi Josh. I really admire your writing style and have enjoyed reading your blog. So much so that I would like to give you a Liebster Blog Award!
You can read more about the award here: http://outofsightonmymind.wordpress.com/2012/04/22/the-liebster-award/
I look forward to reading more of your posts 🙂

  8. Hey fella. Keep up the good work. Free verse, free spirits.

  9. Jennifer Murphy

Hello Josh, thank you for taking the time to look at my blog. I’m really enjoying your work, thanks for sharing.

  10. Impressed. Keep it up! The biggest trick about writing is to sit down and do it. Write it all out good, bad, ugle. Later you self edit and you usually find a nugget or two. All the best – Duke

Thanks for following me, check out my older material from when I was feeling more inspired.

    • Sure thing. Your blog is a little cynical and speaks truth sometimes, two things that everyone needs a little bit of. Your poem “Connected In Disconnection” is what caught my attention; it’s human and it’s honest.

      • Andrew Brobyn

Why thank you, I wrote it in a Starbucks where I was the only person not using some sort of handheld device of distraction. Cynical it is, truth is subjective. I’m doing my best to write more positive stuff though…it just goes against my natural disposition.

  12. Hi Josh, thanks for visiting my blog and for liking my post “The Hidden Power of Words: Delegate.” Much appreciated. Best, Rashelle

  13. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I’m a relatively close neighbor, from all the way down here in Akron.

  14. JazzehTheSpazzeh.xo

Completely bored, so I thought I’d thank you for the like on my post “Let Go”. 😛 Somewhat of a re-discovery of something I already knew. Something I knew but didn’t quite understand… does that make sense?

  15. Thanks for dropping by and liking Life Unadorned. I am always intrigued by how others connect life and writing. I appreciate the interweaving of life’s realities into yours.

  16. Hey Josh,
Really enjoy your poetry, so I’ve decided to nominate you for the Liebster Award! You can check out the post about it here: http://brentgladneywriter.wordpress.com/2013/03/07/ive-been-nominated/
